David and Shellie Get Hitched

Our awesome friends, David and Shellie, got married at the beach. This was also the first time that we left our baby overnight! Mimi and Pappy babysat while we took a quick overnight to celebrate the union of an amazing couple. These 2 people are some of the kindest, most genuine people I know. And now they're officially married! They were married at a beautiful white chapel on the beach, the weather was absolutely perfect for such an occasion. Then we partied all afternoon/night around the pool while catching up with some of our Horse Country people.
The view from the church.

Me and my hot date!

Long story, but had to be documented!
The cute couple.
So typical! They had a legit food fight following this.

How Does Your Garden Grow

The Hubs decided that he wanted to try his hand at gardening again this year. But this time, he wanted to start from seeds...not the little starter plants you buy at the store. He and Lo had a blast planting tomato, basil and cilantro seeds on this particular day. Lo loves to dig in the dirt and anything that involves being outdoors. The Hubs is such a good Daddy to our girl, I hope she knows how lucky she is.
Unwrapping one of the little greenhouses.

Watching the soil pellets grow when sprinkled with water.
She thought that was pretty cool!
Cuties. ❤

The Snow of 2013

Somehow we lucked out and got snow on the ground when nobody else in the surrounding area did. The Hubs was like a kid on Christmas...he loves snow. He was thrilled that our little nugget got to experience snow in her first year. We had some visitors that day too! I guess they didn't want us hogging all of the white stuff!

Relief Society

I am currently serving as the second counselor in th  Relief Society presidency in our church. Relief Society is the women´s organization for those of you who don't speak Mormon! It's still new to me and I'm figuring things out as I go...but I am enjoying  myself. My main responsibility is to be over the activities but I pitch in wherever needed. It has given me many opportunities to serve and helped me get acquainted with the difference  families  that we attend church with. I am also required  to teach once per quarter. This doesn't sound like much, but I am not looking forward to it! Maybe this will help me get over my fear of teaching adults once and for all...here's to hoping. :)

Daddy's Little Model

At 11 months old-
-She has 4 teeth, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. She has quite the gap between the top 2 which we think is terribly funny...we call them her chicklets.
-has started to crawl but only if she REALLY wants something and its a slow crawl.
-mostly says Dada,Mama and Uh oh
-Still loves to eat. New favorites are edamame and frozen peas.
-At a sick visit recently weighed in at 22 lbs. 12 oz.
-Wears mostly 18 month clothes and size 3 diapers.
-Loves anyone and everyone, especially kids.
-Is starting to show a little bit of interest in some of the educational cartoons, mostly loves the music.
-Enjoys reading and singing time in her nursery in the late afternoons...she tends to get bored around 3:00 each day.
-Got her mother's bad allergies. Gets sinus congestion with the weather changes.
-Saw and touched snow for the first time this month.
We just love our little Lo to pieces!

Daddy's Little Model

She's 10 months!  Oh, how can this be?!  Time is flying by so quickly and we are enjoying every single second with this pretty girl.  She's got 3 teeth, 2 on the bottom and one on the top, and working on the other top front tooth.  She is starting to mobilize a little.  Still no crawling but she somehow manages to move through a series of stretching.  She still loves to eat any and every thing.  She is still just using a sippy cup, no more bottles for this girl. She loves meeting new people, being outside, laughing, reading and baths. Her favorite toys right now are her purse with lipstick and compact, disney princess little people, and anything with a tag. She loves anything that crinkles including her crinkly elephant that her Daddy got her for Christmas that they named "Captain Crinkles".  She is such a good sleeper.  She typically sleeps from about 7pm,wakes between 6:30 to 7am for a bottle and then sleeps a little more until about 9 or 9:30...we are so lucky!  She had a bout with the croup but other than that is very healthy.  We just love our little Lo!

New Years Eve 2012

We spent our NYE at Bab and Roc's annual New Years Eve bash. There was good food, good company, lots of dancing and some football watching by lots of men! There was also a fireworks show, minute to win it games, a money piƱata and a small fire! Oh, and the baby slept through the entire thing upstairs in Bab and Roc's overly large walk-in closet. So there you have it, how about some pictures?
